The Punjab government founded Barani Agricultural College, Rawalpindi, in response to the Barani Commission's recommendations, and it was eventually promoted to university status in 1994.
The university's mission is to create top-notch agricultural scientists and to establish a well-organized organisation. (Hons) and M.Phil degrees.
The institution is now recruiting for employees for a PSDP-funded project called "Pilot Project for Data-Driven Smart Decision Platform for Increased Agriculture Productivity.
A Senior Scientific Officer, Scientific Officer, Research Associate, Research Assistant, Network Sub Engineer, and Lab Assistant are all needed for this PSDP project.
